Vase of Lilacs 10" x 8"

This was done in Tom Brown's Painting class at the Irvine Fine Art Center. Tom has a wonderful way of teaching and having a student produce a painting in one class session. It is a step by step approach and it works for just about everyone. You get done and feel pretty good.

Hi Dori! This is beautiful. especially like the light that shines through the vase onto the table top. Wish I lived closer so I could take Tom's class.

I think it is amazing how Tom gets us to paint these things. I will post a few more. I wish I lived closer to LAAFA... Love Remi...it is so like the original. Your good girl.

Wow, Dori. This is great. Welcome to to the Daily Blog world. You already have a great series of works showing; can't wait to check in every day and see what else you post. Thanks for the plug about my classes. I should point to you as an example of how well class projects come out! Love your blog. Keep it up.

thanks Tom. I really appreciate your encouragement. I have a real appreciation for you and your daily painting. I can see how it helps. I find that I am learning to work things out. I need to limit my time. I over work things and the paint gets muddy. Keep looking, I will post another one this week from your 8 week class. Thanks again.
