End of a Session 10x8 oil

This was the end of a session with our model.  She was deep in thought and I am sure tired.  I had finished up the long pose and had time to either pack it up or throw down some paint.  Having put some roughly painted over old canvas in my bag, I thought I would see what I could do in the time remaining.

Great texture and brushwork. I like the expression you captured - looks more serene that tired.

The effort at the end was worth it. It's very good

Wonderful portrait, Dori. Love the colors and the cool reflected light on her left side.

i love this portrait ... you establish so much with great economy ... the way you applied the blues moves this beyond naturalism in a most satisfying way ... the whole effect leaves me engaged with the sitter, pondering a wistfulness that is just this side of melancholy and wondering about the artist who painted this ... lovely work
