"HOOFING THE TRAIL"

5x7, oil on canvas board, $50.00+$10.00S/H

When out walking the trail you need to share it with walkers, runners, bikers and horses.  It is the perfect place to ride, away from the city streets and cars.  We all have to look out for an occassional rattle snake or mountain lion...I have not come across either...yet.  The horses are just beautiful.  Their shiny coat show every muscle movement.  As they climb the heaviness of their hoofs can be felt with each step.
This was a quick painting with slightly exaggerated color and merely the suggestion of horses traveling up the tail, hoofing it all the way.

Love the colors and the suggestion of horses. It's very impressionistic. Very nice!!

love how you lead us up the path and then gently suggest that we follow the horses. Lovely piece.
