While exploring all the sites in Chicago we came across this dog park. It was set in the middle of the cities beautiful architecture. It was a beautiful place for owners and their pets to walk and play with other visiting canines. I got a kick out of this guy walking 3 small dogs, talking on his phone. He was oblivious to the large German Shepard coming up behind him. I thought maybe he was a professional "dog walker" and was on the phone lining up his next group of dogs on a leash.

Another great Chicago painting. I like your perspective, by that I mean I like what you choose to paint. This painting tells quite a story. Your greens are fabulous!

Just a perfectly typical scene from all of our lives.
Lovely one, Dori. I don't have a dog anymore but find dog parks quite interesting. The first one I ever saw was at a highway rest stop and it had an old fire hydrant in the middle. Simple but effective I guess......What next?
Love slice of life paintings. Nice job, Dori. Looks like you enjoyed your trip to windy city.
Great looking painting. Like the way you handled all of it but in partiicular the trees and foilage in the background.
Dori, I do love all your paintings, but you tell a wonderful story with this one. When we traveled to Chicago a few years back, with our two dogs, I found downtown to not be very dog friendly. Only one park to walk them in, very far from our hotel. A long walk - especially for that last walk before bed! When we walked them past Millenium Park, I probably spelled that wrong) a lady on one of those one wheeled contraptions made of point of telling us that dogs are not allowed even near the grass! LOL
Loved visiting your most recent paintings and a little insight into Chicago. On your previous purple onion painting...wow...so jealous of how you captured all those luscious colors!
Wonderful vignette of Chicago life. The lush greens really bring out the summer feel. You have portrayed the man and his distracted attitude really well.
Fun piece Dori, I love the story behind it!
