BEFORE MY MORNING COFFEE

6x6,oil, $75.00

Some mornings I have the chance to walk with fellow artist Dana Cooper in a local park.  We meet and walk all the way around Irvine Park which takes about an hour or so, depending on how many photos we take.  We see people we know and even saw a very rare sighting of a bald eagle.  They are not common to our area.  We later found out that he comes and visits the O.C. Zoo, which is in the park, and chats with a feathered friend of the same species that lives in captivity.  We have seen the water rise and the river totally dry as the leaves come and go.  Mostly it is a delight to walk and talk with a good friend ... and then stop and have some morning coffee and chat somemore.  Now that's the start of a good day.

Great work. I did some illustrations of Irvine Park once. It was something called the Spine. Wonder if its the same place you mentioned. Curious.

What a lovely description. I'd like to join you sometime!

The feeling in this painting is very spring-like. I love the beautiful colors in the shadow and in the grass.

You are right Dori, it is a great way to start the day!
I love the sense of atmosphere that you captured with the very thick, fresh paint!

I like the range of values in this one Dori. Your composition is strong too - leads me right in to the focal point. Beautiful!

I just love this one! Gorgeous colors and brushwork. Especially like that it is about friendship and a lovely way to have time with someone each day. I need me a Dana and now a Dori too! Y'all are wonderful!
