WARMTH UNDER A SUNNY CANOPY

10x8, oil, $120.00

This was interesting because I painted this late afternoon with not much light on my canvas.  It amazed me how warm, for one, and how intense the color turned out.  It was done in a short amount of time.  I wonder if I had had time to try to correct color, if it might not have ended in failure.  I think so often I am on the right track and just don't trust myself.  It was really fun to put the paint down and go with it...ha cha cha!

This warm palette is lovely, I would not change a thing. One of the things I really like is the softness of the fabric drape in contrast to the bold brushstrokes throughout; so very nice!

When is a Sunflower Painting not a Sunflower Painting? When the sunflowers sit back at the top of the painting and invite you to look at what is sitting below them! Superb. Trust yourself, girl...

All of the different reds in greens in this are so dynamic! Love the composition and the way the canvas graduates from yellow to green to red. Very pleasing to the eye!
