Ready

Here is another fig painting with my little ceramic pot.  I got the pot from Jill, a 3rd grade teacher where I work.  She is a potter in her spare time.  I told her I would love to purchase a pot from her.  When I came to work a few days later this lovely glazed pot was sitting on my desk.  She said it was a gift.  I am so grateful to have this little vessel always ready to paint, and to think of the hands that made it is nice too.

It is a beautiful pot and a beautiful painting. I'd say you are giving a gift right back to your friend by using her pot for your painting! I like the continuity of the colors throughout, and the reflection on the table.

What size is this? The way you rendered both the pot and (my favorite fruit) the figs is really masterful!

This is lovely. Really nice warm figs against the cooler feel of the pottery. And...how sweet was that friend to gift you with a special hand made piece of her art...love that!
