On The Mesa

Last night I had a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate for the Orange Art Association.  I was particularly nervous.  Once I got started it was like being in my studio.  Great group of artist looked and with great support.
I demonstrated my under painting process and pastel application.  Every time I do something like this I have to think out my process.  I realize there is no formula and every painting speaks its own language.   Embracing my fear and using it to give the piece energy is a better path...And fun.

Ahhh...having seen with my very eyes how your pastel paintings transpire...it is a treat to take in. I am sure the group was delighted with you!

Wow, wish I was there for the demo! This is so alive with strokes and colors!

This painting has so many wonderfully unexpected colors that work really well together. I wish I could have seen this one come together in person. I bet you did a great job demonstrating too, sorry I missed it. This is truly a beautiful painting!

It's GREAT! They were smart to ask you to demo, too. I'm guessing this won't be the last time you demo for a group! Super!

Great job! Love your use of purple and the loose chunky shapes of the leaves.
