Summer Blooms

This is a 6x6 oil on Raymar canvas.  I have had a slow start to summer as far as painting goes.  Summer Blooms was painted with a few hydrangeas from my yard set out on a table in direct sun.  I have never seen anything wilt so fast.  So I painted faster and had to quit sooner.  Not a bad thing as I might have just noodled my way to a over worked painting.  Direct and fast seems to keep things fresh.
I have been teaching summer school everyday.  Love it, but it wipes me out.  I realized if I want to paint I need to paint small.  So back to the 6x6.

6x6, oil on Raymar linen, SOLD

Wow! This is just beautiful. First grabbed my attention in the thumbnail, then even better when I clicked on it. Fresh and loose and totally lovely.

Wow, this is gorgeous! What paint colors did you use to get those beautiful pinks?

Wow! This just jumped right off my dashboard! You got so much in so little a spot. I would love to see this large!

I love this so much - very "summery". I could bury my nose in those flowers and smell summer!

Love those vivid pinks and lilacs! The pale lemon yellow is the perfect compliment!
