A Grand Idea

A family vacation inspired this pastel of the Grand Canyon. I was wanting to work larger. Large for me is 18" x 24", although this is not quiet that, but close. Problem with working large in pastel is the expense in framing. Pastels can't just sit out without protection, so into the portfolio it went until today. I thought it would be a good idea to share it on my blog. So it is quietly tucked away and can be seen too.

Your pastel work is the best I've ever seen. This is a really beautiful picture Dori. You paid really close attention to values. I think it could have been easy to get sidetracked with color.
