Patty 16x12 oil

This was a model day a few weeks ago that I did not finish.  I even wiped off the face.  I finally thought I needed practice and needed to finish her or paint over her.  I worked from a photo Patty allowed me to take of her.  It is not a good likeness.  I will keep up with the figure work and hopefully I will get better.

Dori, I think this is one of your best figures. The composition, gesture and colors are all very good. She looks a little like you. Is that weird to say? I think she does, anyway.

Silvina, Thanks a lot. Sometimes I get hung up on a part of the whole thing and don't see that other things are working.

I agree with Silvina. I like how you painted her hands too, they are simply stated with just a few strokes to indicate fingers in the right spots.

Shoe does look a little like you. Add your glasses and she could be your sister. Hee hee.

I love the warm flesh tones, and the flow of her pose matched with the flow of the fabric.
