Gifts of the Earth 12x18 pastel

This is the latest DSFDF challenge.  I liked the subject selection very much and decided to jump on it and get it done.  I still had my box of loose pastels out.  I usually pull out my trays of pastels when I work in this medium.  I have had to reorganize my studio space to a much smaller area.  So this little box of pastels fits better than getting out the whole extravaganza.

Wow! You really got the glow of those onions and the sparkle on the tomatoes. When I look at it closely, I notice the wonderful blue tones on the corn too. Great job!

This has a wonderfully rich feel to it. It's a treat to look at, especially the enlarged view.

This is really gorgeous. You captured the different skin textures so well. The overall look of the piece is harmonious and captivating. I can't believe you can do all this from a photo.

Your painting evokes the heat of the Summer, when all of the vegetables are ripening in that warm sunlight. Beautiful!

The color and line work on this enlarged are just to die for. Great work!! I'm wondering if you worked on brown paper or if you layered gold over brown... Whatever you did, it's beautiful.
