Different Strokes Challenge, Blue Man 10x8 oil

This was much harder than I thought it would be.  Just wanted to paint all these little details and then I would wipe it off.  Not a close likeness, but I think we were to work on the figure.  Just wanted to stay loose.  I finally decided to just post it and let go.  I enjoyed getting to paint again.
Summer school is over and now I have some time to enjoy summer and get things done of course.  I posted my students work on their own blog if you want to take a peek, artartandmoreart.blogspot.com.  This way they can share their summer school adventure with family and friends.

This is great Dori, the figure works perfectly!

He looks so wise. He's probably in the shade wondering what all the people are doing running about.

I'm glad you posted the close-up of his face. You did a great job on light and shadow sculpting the face, not overworked at all. Great job overall. Dori!

Nice work on the challenge. I keep trying to paint loose and it just won't come out of my brush!
