Trees 8x10

Painted these when it was a bit too windy in the creek bed.  This is a whole new venture to figure out and show depth and light.  I could do this for a while.  My photo is not picking up the distant light and is looking quite gray.  One of these days I will understand how to fix these things.
Today is my twentieth painting for the month of January.  I am pleased to say I met my goal.  Now I need to evaluate and look at what I learned.

Wow! that was a pretty heavy duty goal for January. That is awesome. Congratulations!

Love the dappled light...I get a really strong sense of being enclosed in this area under the trees and looking out into the lighter area, so nice separation of space. I also really admire how you kept your strokes separate and seemingly untouched. That takes courage!
Congrats on the achieving the goal...I'd love to hear your reflections on what you've learned.

You really feel like you are standing under a canopy of trees in this. I can't believe how unsure you were about it the other day and here it is finished so beautifully. How is it that I always miss seeing the magic happen in your paintings? Where do you stash that magic brush?
