"HIT'IN THE TRAIL"
10x10, oil, $145.00
Getting the body moving is a good thing. In this last year I have found a new passion. It is not only good for my mind, but it is great for my body. One of the things I enjoy about the local trails is hiking with friends. I'm not always able to talk while doing this activity. Some of the hills are tough and breathing is more important than talking. Good friends can talk and walk or just walk together in silence being a quiet support. There are lots of sights and sounds to take in and enjoy along the way. To accomplish a 3 or 4 mile hike is a wonderfully benefical exercise, but I say it is the journey that stays with me.

"STANDOUT"
10x10, oil on 3/8 panel, $140.00
It is nearing the end of tomato season. For a couple of weeks I just could not keep up with the production. Most of the crop has not been very large in size. Lots of salads of tomatoes, onion, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Wonderfully tasty and colorful. Some just standout as better tasting.
All have been fun and very cute for painting.

"SIGHT SEEING"
10x10, oil on panel, $140.00
Chicago is just a wonderland for art. "Eye" by Tony Tasset at Pritzker Park in the loop is a sight to behold. Emerging from the subway at Jackson and State we found ourselves in view of this monumental work. What a fun exhibit to see in the middle of the city, surrounded by buildings, overhead trains, restaurants and so much more.
